Well, I´am in Sanliurfa, these exotic, at least for me, place in southeastern Anatolia close to the Syrian border. Three legs to go today and when I really like to catch the first one it seems better to walk just a little bit faster back for the hotel!.
Pick up my things and heading for the Havas bus stop in direction airport, wherever it is?.
Abide Ziyaettin Akbulut Park close to Aksaroglu Petrol station is definitely nothing new to me, isn´t it?.
Ahem, always these nice talking.
Well, not that really appropriate to my tight schedule but there is this nice young woman from the hotels management and again, the exot I´am is not allowed to leave the hotel prior to a couple of questions!.
Well, now I need a "Taksi" for the Havas bus place.
The young taxista does a good job and delivered me perfectly ontime to the bus.
Calm down, talking to the driver as I usually do:
This bus is for the airport and the Ankara service?.
No Ankara, this is Istanbul. The other bus for Ankara.
Ontime, believe me, the one closed the doors right now and tried to leave.
Well again, the international signage, jump and wave helps not for the first time!. The driver noticed me, opened the door again, lucky me, so I´am on the right bus for the airport.
Where, after a drive at a modern style motorway along endless agricultural fields welcomed me the middle of nowhere.
Strange, a new built airport and nothing around
 photo TRJAN2014096_zps9c0f43fc.jpg
 photo TRJAN2014097_zps8aa26378.jpg
This is really in the middle of nowhere.
There is no city or something like this in the close vicinity,
there is no biz related need.
Anything else?. A couple of years ago Turkey decided to start the Great Anatolia Project GAP and try to construct a large, a really large dam to secure the water ressources for the agriculture in Anatolia. The airport was built to supply the large construction engines and also material and workers to the area and offers a really long 4000 meters runway good for all the heavy freighters. But they are gone nowadays

 photo TRJAN2014099_zps93757e62.jpg
And there is definitely nothing around beside a couple of trees, lots of empty parking spaces and a close to deserted terminal

 photo TRJAN2014101_zpsce2c6266.jpg
OLCI works also here well 24 hours prior to departure.
There are two legs on the directly by Turkish Airlines secured ticket. The fare per leg is 30.00 Euro´s.
A nice young woman at the desk printed the papers for me.
Close to no one else at security and ready for a view around
this way

 photo TRJAN2014103_zps2a410c5b.jpg
Clear blue sky, snowy peaks in the distance and a plane, not bad, isn´t it?
 photo TRJAN2014104_zps06459042.jpg
 photo TRJAN2014105_zps18b929a6.jpg
And just by surprise, space enough on the apron for two or three more examples!

 photo TRJAN2014107_zpsc5db8384.jpg

Ground handling, let´s go!

Ankara for me, please!
 photo TRJAN2014116_zps13c5540a.jpg
 photo TRJAN2014117_zps2376300b.jpg
There is no gate number announced.
Boarding started self service and I like it with these conditions.
Just by surprise, under the wing, you know!

So, this is TC-SAG, also known as "Sarigamis" the 737-700 like on schedule.
Leg no. 42 on these type and yes, lucky me, new to the log.
In the air and around with EZY, absolutely no reminders in the cabin, no way, since 27.06.2003.
Joined the Turkish register with Turkish Airlines, Sun Express and finally AnadoluJet.
9 examples are in the fleet and there are no stories to show here
  photo TRJAN2014121_zpsa455e2b7.jpg
11.25 am, short ahead to schedule we are at "Anadolujet".
No duration info to notice, departure from the 4000 meters runway "Zero-Four" with a clear blue sky and 15 degrees.
Leaving the "Sanliurfa Güney Dogu Anadolu Projesi GAP Havalimani" right now

Cabin crew is one middle aged nice male
and two women, one middle aged nice, not that large, blonde
the other one also middle aged with a really nice welcome and talking at the planes door. The rear door, the queue at the front door as usual, you know!.
Relaxed it looks like on the tarmac

Touchdown at the 3750 meters "Two-One-Right", 12.40 am, ten minutes ahead to schedule, 4 degrees and clear, sunny sky, perfect.

Take care, more to come, hopefully.
