Just a couple of meters to walk now for a view to the screen.
There is no OLCI available. Ok, nothing else expected with these kind of reservation managed by Opodo.de.
Thumbs up to One World.
RJ quotes an el cheapo 1200.00 Euro´s on it´s website for the upcoming two legs.
But well, when you click the very same routing and AB flightnumbers it calms down to 125.00 Euro´s for this leg.
And interesting, too, when you click the second leg to LHR operated by BA on AB flightnumbers it´s further down to less than 100.00 Euro´s. Not bad, isn´t it?.
Well, the counter isn´t open and a couple of people waiting. An elder, Jordanian, so it looks like, biz style traveller joined, too.
We had a nice chat and he is not that really proud about his home carrier. Lot´s of delays and the usual things like this.
Well, there is someone else here not that really proud about the latest decisions with the home airline, but that´s another story!.
More people coming in. A group of elder, Jordanian maybe, at least Arabian, travellers and well senior´s don´t need to wait, isn´t it?.
They jump the queue, ok, there is no real queue here, feeling like in their twenties, always a surprise how fast they are when they like to be, as soon as a nice elder woman opened the counter.
Well, funny to follow the comments from the other travellers.
Just a couple of minutes thereafter it´s my turn, the elder woman is really nice and certainly surprised when the machine printed not one boarding pass only. No, there are two and this is no connecting flight, no this is the return for tomorrow. She checked it en detail, it´s true, but there is no seat change possible, ok in the end.
And onwards for passport check without a minute to wait.
Security is at the gate, no one else beside me and also swiftly fixed.
Gate D21 by the way and no lounge used here

Yes, that fit´s. A warm welcome to the crown, Royal Jordanian, the homecarrier of the "al-Mamlakah al-Urdunīyah al-Hāshimīyah", "المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية" or also the "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan" and a first for me

Nice colours, at least from my point of view

No complaints regarding the type, an A319, this is exactly what the schedule told me, "Ma an", registered as JY-AYM.
Leg no. 98 on type and new to the log.
Since 29.10.2008 with the crown, four planes on type are in the fleet and there are no stories reported

Not a real surprise to follow now after the check-in talk with the nice lady, there are just a few pax only here

3.00 pm, ten minutes late by "Jordanian", leaving the "Flughafen Wien-Schwechat" again for 3.15 hours in the air. It´s partly cloudy at 18 degrees and just departed from the 3500 meters runway "Two-Nine"

Cockpit crew is from Jordan, there are two "نقيب", the guy´s with the four stripes today in the front office and the one at the left hand side with a nice and detailed welcome on the ground.
The routing is Timisoara, Veliko Tarnovo, Bursa, Konya, Alanya, Larnaca, Haifa, it seems the very first time in Israeli airspace for me, at 35000 and later 37000 feet.
20A and three for me by the way.
Grey and red mixed fabric seats, the legroom is ok and it´s clean here so far.
The modern style cabin fitted with inseat screens

Cabin crew is one elder, one younger nice male FA and three women, all middle aged.
One large, not that slim, brown hair, eastern style,
one large, slim black hair, good looking to say the least with that red uniform
and another not that large, black hair, really nice.
The load is not more than 40%, a large travel group from Slovakia, some arabian people and the few others like me.
It feels good to be here

Followed by the 3660 meters runway "Two-Six-Left" and arrival at Amman´s "Queen Alia International Airport,‏مطار الملكة علياء الدولي‎, Maār al-Malika Alyāad-Duwalī" at 8.20 pm, what is perfectly ontime. 20 degrees and clear sky, that is completely as preordered!.
Where there is, lucky me, no other flight at the same time and therefore no queue at all to see at the official desks and offices.
Cashing some Jordanian Dinars, not to talk about a monopoly, at the single exchange counter.
For the next counter where there is a nice guy left hand side to cash 20.00 Dinar´s back, now that was a short visit to my pocket, write a paper, sticks something in my passport and the relaxed guy right hand side stamped it.
Welcome to the "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan", yes, I like this name and also the big passport stamp, after some minutes only, perfect.
And once again, I´am faster than the pre-ordered hotel driver. He is really surprised when he reached the arrivals hall and I´am waiting. It´s a long nightly way now on the private car from the airport to the city and the refugee camps along the motorway are good to notice.
Ok, at the Crystal Hotel, where there is a suite, well, as pre-ordered, waiting for me

Some room details

 photo JOR1301055_zpsb4f197be.jpg
Crystal Hotel is for sure an ok place to stay the night located in Al Rabiah with lots of shops and restaurants around. And there is also an arabic bakery, lovely

 photo JOR1301059_zps00cdb886.jpg
And it seems also, that Amann is not the place to walk for longer. Every meter or two a cab stopped and like to drive me for somewhere else, pushy to say the least. Believe me,
originally I´ve planned to take one but no, not this way.
For you´re gas needs and not that this one looks like in any case retro!

Typical middle eastern scenery around, isn´t it?
 photo JOR1301066_zpsa2722f66.jpg
 photo JOR1301067_zps1ca44704.jpg
That´s good for me early in the morning
and it´s also good to know that there is another car prepared with some spare time to show me around on the way for the airport

It seems it´s not possible to build new apartments as fast enough for all the people coming to Jordan

Along the with UNHCR tarpaulins covered interim campsites, tough to see it en detail for real.
