Breakfast is ready, after a good night surrounded by engine noise!
The return for the airport is just a bit tricky.
We have an early morning service from the south terminal
but the shuttle runs to the main terminal only.
What means to take an expensive cab, no,
or connect with not that much time in between for this one
The south terminal is also a place to spend much more time than really available with all these special aircraft movements around.
Northern retro´s
Cute coastal´s
Harbour Air here?
Metro´s also on the way
And the daily A380 heading for departures. Wait, there is something wrong here on this keyboard!
Better not to go for Cranbrook today and also Port Hardy looks not like the real joyflight
This ticket is fixed with Pacific Coastal directly.
The fare is 70.00 Euro´s.
Check-In is swiftly done and the nice elder woman at the counter confirmed the scheduled Saab 340 on this service.
Sorry, no cute Beech today
For security it is, without a minute to wait.
Looks like nice this way
And this one, too
And this one much more, too
Nice people here, definitely.
The woman from the check-in desk comes to us
with the terrible news that there is a plane change and we should ride the Beech now.
The Beech, the first time ever for me on the 1900C.
Me on the 1987 built C-GCPZ, no individual name, no incidents to report, never ever or not?.
Where is these irony-out button once again?
Well, just for the case, boarding this way from gate 1, what else?
08.45 am, 30 minutes to go and also 30 minutes late.
"Pasco" leaving the "Vancouver International Airport" from runway "Zero-Eight-Right", 3505 meters and 16 partly cloudy degrees.
The guys upfront are from Canada, the younger pilot with a nice welcome during boarding, the young FO also nice at the planes door.
Close it now, please
Good to follow the action here from row 1. Free seating it is
No FA, no service, no route info.
Flightlevel is up to 10000 feet.
And to follow these two small engines straight
Well used to say the least and also the cabin with the blue grey leather seats, legroom is somewhat low.
The load is close to 100%, one open seat only to notice
Just departed
Well, that fit´s!
Sure we can, ahem, we do!
An engine on the way
The guys at work
Instruments checked
This one looks like nice with the blue-silver mix
And what´s this in the distance?
Approach
Straight in to say the least
Finals
Exactly this way
Touchdown at the 1981 meters runway "Three-Zero". 09.20 am, 20 partly cloudy degrees and also 20 minutes late
Taxi and finally parked
Bye now to Pacific Coastal and ready for a closer view to some special equipment around at "Campbell River Airport"
Well, not this time!
I should ride these Heli somedays
Bye now to Pacific Coastal
And our safe and reliable transport up the north
Up the north, really?. Well, we should change the direction immediatelly to start the long, long treck back to the homebase, but that´s another story!.
And here are the conclusions:
1.)Seair Seaplanes CXH-ZNA: The caravan of the air/sea.
2.)Harbour Air ZNA-YVR: Every detail well explained.
3.)Pacific Coastal YVR-YBL: A warm welcome to the B19C.
Take care,
bye now.
