This is the second leg on the LH mileage ticket.
The fare again 7500 miles, 60.00 Euro´s taxes and fees.
Everything ok on the screen from gate G69?.
A swift detour for the lounge and bus boarding it is again.
09.00 am, perfectly ontime once more, "AugsburgAir" and 2.00 hours from the "Flughafen München Franz-Josef Strauss". Bye now at the 4000 meters runway "Two-Six-Left". 14 degrees and it´s wet after rain
We switch now for the Embraer 195 like on schedule.
This is D-AEMD, another one without an individual name.
Leg no. 5 on type only and new to the log.
In service with Augsburg from 07.08.2009 and just a couple of days after the shutdown taken over by Lufthansa Cityline.
Here is a short story with the plane:

Boarding right now.
Cabin crew is three women,
one young, black hair, slim, maybe from Turkey, nice,
one middle aged blonde, ok,
one younger, slim, dark brown hair, nice
Now that´s a difference to the first leg.
We have a close to 100% load and there is no one around looking like on the biz track, VFR maybe?.
But lucky me, there are two seats for me in the second to last row, 31F, late boarding, you know!.
The cabin looks like modern and it´s clean here on the Embraer
Some dark grey leather seat details and the legroom is not that impressive
Cockpit crew is from Germany.
The "Pilot" with nice and detailed infos inflight in an experienced style. No flightlevel info, but the routing is via ZRH, TLS and Pamplona.
The safety card and the service these days by LH.
Bacon and egg, disgusting, but well, tomato and mozarella fits better. Free drinks are served twice
Not that far from our target today and I´ve don´t expected such a number of mountains in northern spain
Touchdown at the 2600 meters "Three-Zero". It´s 11.15 am, what means also short ahead to schedule. And the temperature at the "Bilboko aireportua - Aeropuerto de Bilbao" is 24 degrees with some high clouds only.
This terminal looks like modern, isn´t it?
And a gate position it is
Out in the public just a couple of minutes thereafter.
Well, I´am slightly disappointed during my final preparations for this trip.
The workers at Bilbao´s public transport system, Bizkaibus, decided to go for a strike exactly today. But the airport stated on it´s website, that the city center shuttle bus is running. Not on the standard timetable, but it´s running.
And there is one waiting at the terminal exit, lucky me.
Just a couple of minutes thereafter I´am on the way for the city.
And also the weather doesn´t go the wrong way.
The main city center is closed for traffic due to a demonstration and the driver throws us off the bus, really, so it feels like, at a main road, but also not that far from the main sights.
And it seems he´s heading for the demo right now.
Well, I´am slightly concerned about the way back for the airport
With this as the very main sight
The "Guggenheim Bilbao Museoa" looks like perfectly nice with the blue sky above and the sun in the mirrorlike panels
Modern style buildings all around
And not that much visitors today
Certainly a really special architectural piece
Up for the "Salbeko Zubia" this way
The demo is good to hear but is gone another way. What about a closer view for the city?.
Down the "Recalde Zumarkalea"
Contrasts around the "Plaza de Don Federico Moyua"
And the "Palacio Euskalduna" in the distance
Not that easy to catch a bus back for the airport with closed roads and diversions. But finally it works and I see an 3247 service heading down the Gran Via.
The young driver is not in the best mood, certainly he is in a really bad mood. It seems he likes to strike, too.
I´am not sure if this is a standard stop where me and a young couple boarded the bus.
Other people walking by but he closed the doors.
And he is on the fast track, ok this is Spain, but so fast that the automatic barrier at the toll station decided not to go up
what results in heavy breaking action and we made it just some centimeters prior to the barrier.
Well my Euskara language knowledge is limited, but that sounds not that really funny what he calls now!.
Kids and disabled persons should better not to take the bus today!. I´am in the first row and when I´am looking back I see no one else beside the aforementioned young couple.
And they are looking like not really relaxed.
Me maybe, too?.
I hope this is not a horror movie and we drive truly for the airport?.
Ok, finally arrived!.
Take care, it´s important.
The TRIPREPORTER.
