This story is dedicated the Ukrainian people. I like these country and it´s definitely a tough time there
The trip in one word:
UNOBTAINABLE
"I´am not sure if this is an interesting enough theme: More russian metal please!"
Dobryy den´, a good day, dear readers,
I left you somewhat paralyzed on the bus after emerging these so exclusive plane, the Iljushin IL96.
And right now I´am at the "Sheremetyevo International Airport Международный аэропорт Шереметьево", heading upstairs for the transfer desk where, exactly like the last time, no one else beside me decides to go for somewhere else this evening. All the large shopping bags in direction exit here!.
But I´am not fixed tonight!:
Thanx to, also this time:
http://www.gcmap.com/
A nice guy checked my documents, printed me an lounge invitation and send me to the passport and security check station what is swiftly done.
Down the stairs at the other side, a couple of meters to walk in between the terminals, ready for the lounge and maybe for a view to the screen, too

This is the second leg on the confirmation, managed directly by Aeroflot. The fare is 150.00 Euro´s and OLCI works perfectly well with the warm welcomed seatmap showing up
And after some time there at the lounge, not that much action around and very close to sleep mode it seems I should better go for a walk and maybe to the gate D6, not to miss any action or maybe a flight!.
Are there any reliable signs here about my upcoming destination?.
Not that much people around the gate but anyway a group of heavy drunk middle aged till elder guys enjoying something from a bottle in there Airport Duty Free plastic bag?.
No problem for the gate agent at all. It seems it´s better to have the guys on the plane than at the airport overnight!
11.20 pm, just 35 minutes late, "Aeroflot" on the go for 1.10 hours from the 3700 meters runway "Two-Five-Left".
And not to talk about russian metal, this is another premiere for me, the very first time on the Sukhoi Super Jet,
"D.Barilov" or RA-89007.
Really strange to notice that despite it is a new plane, first delivered at 23.01.2012 it is stored since February and up for sale. 10 examples are active and this is the only one out of service right now. Ok, I´ve read about that Aeroflot switch to new built planes after some issues with the early SuperJet´s.
Issues like this maybe:
http://avherald.com/h?article=4568b10a&opt=0
Cockpit crew is like it should be on a russian plane from Russia. The "капитан" on duty with a nice and detailed welcome on the ground with an delay apologize explained by extented flight preparations.
Maybe an AC change to the last minute?. The plane parked far away from all the other active planes on the tarmac.
No route or flightlevel information.
The modern style clean so far cabin with the bright blue fabric seats and the legroom is good here
Three women working the cabin, the elder purser introduced the whole cabin crew by name and also mentioned the planes name and background, apologized for the delay again, really nice.
One young woman, black hair, well built, one young cute girl, black hair, glasses, well, it seems you know, really nice!.
The load is 70%, no biz style to see at all.
There is also a safety card on offer, at least till now!
Some seat and service details,
a snack box followed by coffee and tea
And soon thereafter we are on finals for also my final destination tonight. Call it convenient when you see you´re hotel close to touchdown, isn´t it?
Interesting to notice also the comments around the pax when one of the FA´s walked through the cabin with immigration cards.
Well me and just two or three others need one, so it seems mostly Ukrainian citizens aboard here.
Touchdown at
"Міжнародний аеропорт Харків-Kharkiv International Airport", runway "Two-Five" offers 2500 meters length.
10.40 pm, 15 minutes late, 2 degrees on the negative side and it seems I´am well trained for one more short travel night!.
Not that these plane on the tarmac has anything to do with my flight tomorrow morning, no way!
Remember the drunk guys?. There are more from this party on the plane. Another one, enjoying the stuff for himself, is so drunk, that one of the FA´s guided him out of the plane to the jetbridge holding his carry on bag. I saw him later at immigration without the bag, it seems he lost it somewhere on the way. Nothing out of the ordinary for people like him, so it seems!.
Bye now to the SSJ
Close to no time to wait at immigration, it´s definitely nothing special here to arrive with an German passport from Russia.
Free transfer is pre-arranged with the hotel and the guy is waiting, as usual surprised to see me that early, but that´s the way to go without checked bags, isn´t it?.
Just a minute or two thereafter I´am at the Ovis Hotel to call it a night immediatelly, dreaming about...., no, not russian metal this time!
And despite my late arrival and not that it was pre-arranged they managed it also to prepare a
breakfast box the next morning
Well, it seems the driver guy is also experienced with the short nights, he shuttled me for the airport again. Bye now for the
Ovis Hotel
Short nights, you know!.
Take care.
The Tripreporter.
