Also this story is in urgently need for a dedication.
And this goes to my travel companion, without a second to think about
The trip in one word:
MOUNTAINOUS
"The theme around this story is to fly out from a special mountain surrounded place and this together with nice companion"
Grüezi, hello, dear readers,
there is this small airport southern side of the alps, on my to-do-list since a long time.
And it seems it works this way now finally:
Thanx to, once more:

Back to the good old days of early departures, so it feels like, when the cellphone pokes me at 03.00 am.
03.00 am, really?. Yes, as comfy as possible this time of the day!.
P0, STR airport it is, with a little help from the car, where I´am not that long thereafter.
A see you again to the car and onwards for the terminal.
The well known procedure, OLCI worked fine, the seat selected, but no paper printed, what the SSK finished for me.
Expe.de helps to secure the ticket. VIE-FRA-STR is done some two weeks ago and this is the third leg on the confirmation. The fare 65.00 Euro´s this way.
Not that long to wait at security, as long as you decide for the right one and in the gate area.
That´s how it feels like to be top of the board and no, there is simply no Palma on this screen to see for me!
No need to use the lounge this morning, swiftly to the gate 144 today.
There is a F100 on schedule and this one spend the night here.
Confirmed, HB-JVC is a Fokker 100, leg no. 40 on type.
And this one without an individual name is a new entry to the log, at least for now.
It started it´s career at 03.03.1994 with American Airlines and joined the Helvetic fleet later on.
There are 6 planes on type and this is the latest entry.
Stories?. Also here, sure!:

Boarding started just a minute or so later
Leaving the "Flughafen Stuttgart" once again.
05.50 am, more ontime isn´t possible, 25 minutes made by "Helvetic" ex runway "Zero-Seven". And a warm or not, welcome to the first de-icing of the season. 1,5 degrees on the negative side with clear sky all around.
Cockpit crew is from Switzerland. The "Pilot" with a nice and detailed welcome, he explained the de-icing procedure efficiently. Once more nice and short inflight, no route or flightlevel info.
Cabin crew is one elder female FA, ok and one young cute woman, short brown hair, nice.
The load is 80%, also a good number of biz pax to notice.
17F and three for me suits me well this morning!
The cabin is fitted with bright grey leather seats, oldfashioned but clean and really good legroom.
Kiev, I should go there somedays, isn´t it?
But wait, I was there not that long ago!
Seat detail and the Swiss origin water on service this morning
Touchdown at "Flughafen Zürich", the 3700 meters "Three-Four", 06.35 am, perfectly ontime.
And just by surprise there is one of the FB friends also on travel this early morning. Heading just a little bit further for the US of A., T., good to see you this way.
And there is someone else who I really like to see again this morning.
A warm welcome not that long thereafter for my local guide and today´s travel companion, H..
Some Euro´s leaving my pocket, some Swiss Franc´s joining and onwards we go.
Crossing the famous alps down under for the first part of the journey!.
Starting this way from Zurich airport to Zurich main train station.
Zug by Zug (what stands in german for train), now that fit´s perfectly.
Arth-Goldau, yes that´s the right direction.
Bellinzona, now that sounds just a little bit italian to me.
But finally Lugano, that´s the one
Confirmed with just a few clouds around the lakes
for the "Sunny part of Switzerland", ahem, also today?
Greenery and white mountain peaks, it feels like we are on the right way
Up the "Gottardo", sorry to early, the "Gotthard"
How I like the alps!
And perfectly nice local guidance, you know, helps to confirm that this is the very same church from one, or two, no, three points of view!
While turning in the tunnels
Well, now it´s really the "Gottardo" and not that long thereafter we are in Lugano
Welcome to the "Sunny part of Switzerland", where it rains once a year, but at least the palms are fitting
Deep, low clouds above the Lago di Lugano
The rain doesn´t stop us, wait, the rain doesn´t stop my companion and I´am the tourist without any clue, no chance to refuse a city tour!
A long, long circuit, for about five minutes, till the "Ristorante Pizzeria Cantinone Bordogna". Pastry, tomato sauce, basil and a good amount of garlic results in a super yummy pizza. Well, the same for the two of us and maybe the garlic helps for an open seat between us on the way out of Lugano?. And also the water is not the every day sign, at least not for the german foreigner
The rain stops, good for more city views
Just a little bit oldfashioned, from corner to corner
Till this corner
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Now that´s also an historic place
Italia just around the next corner
Down by the lake
That´s the way to go now. Really?
And well, the weather looks like truly welcoming in direction Italia
Any cable car riders here?
Take care, traffic ahead
Well, it seems there are more suitable drinks than this one
There is another train to catch heading for the airport
On the Lugano - Ponte Tresa line
Well, that fit´s and the train isn´t retro in any case, no way!
More to come, hopefully, soon.
The Tripreporter.
